Onekia is a proud graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. and spent over 20 years in the social service/nonprofit sector before starting at CAU in 2014 as the Director of Employment & Day Habilitation Services. Onekia is a Certified Employment Specialist and has been recognized with a National Certificate of Achievement in Employment Services from the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators. Due to the continuous growth and expansion of both Supported Employment and Day Habilitation services, Onekia was promoted to Assistant Executive Director of Employment and Day Habilitation before moving up to Associate Executive Director of Day Habilitation and Educational Services. Her primary role is to oversee the daily operations of Medical Day Program Services, Behavioral Day Program Services, TOP Day Program, The Academy for Continuing Education (ACE), as well as the PACES program (Pathways to Academic & Career Explorations to Success).

Onekia’s ultimate purpose is to transform lives by empowering and strengthening individuals to recognize their self-worth. Onekia is one of CAU’s Suicide Prevention Trainers. She is an active member of The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD), The Leadership Institute, The Association of People Supporting Employment First(APSE), and is a true advocate for the people she serves.
