Walter Kalman, Associate Executive Director of Advocacy, Communications, and Resource Development
Walter earned his Master of Social Work at Rutgers University and has led a fulfilling career in human services for nearly 40 years. He previously held the role of Advocate for Families and Communities and Director of Advocacy at CAU before leading the department of Advocacy, Communications and Resource Development.
Walter remains committed to connecting with CAU families and guiding those who need assistance in the world of services for people with disabilities. Formerly, he has served as Executive Director of the National Association of Social Workers New Jersey Chapter, Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner of the NJ Department of Human Services, and Chief Operating Officer at the Arc of Middlesex and Arc of Sussex. He is a board member of multiple local, state and national organizations that advance the rights of people with disabilities.
