First Annual Homeless Sabbath Weekend
December 16 – 18, 2016

Information:  From the NJ Counts Point-In-Time Count conducted on January 26, 2016, it was counted that over 515 individuals were experiencing homelessness within Union County.  Throughout the weekend of December 16 -18, 2016, the UCICC encourages those wishing to support to include prayers and reading in your services that ask for help for the homeless.   In addition to this, there are two events coming up that you may consider participating in:

  • “Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day Vigil” hosted by Holy Cross Lutheran Church (639 Mountain Avenue. Springfield, NJ) at 7 PM on December 21 2016
  • Jazz Vespers Service will be held at 8 PM on Saturday, November 12 from 5 PM – 8 PM at the Townley Presbyterian Church.  More information can be found here: http://wp.me/PeqFK-8H0

The Union County Interfaith Coordinating Council has a mission to facilitate regular interfaith meetings in order to make way for the building of bonds between a community of different faiths and to respect the inclusion and encourage welcoming of others regardless of faith, race or disability and to be proactive on social issues.
