The programs and activities provided by Community Access would not be possible but for the thoughtful gifts provided by private individuals and sponsors. These donations support our specialized programs and services so that people with disabilities can realize a life of independence, dignity, achievement and opportunity.

We have accepted funds directed at special events or general contributions. We also accept donations of material, goods, supplies, furniture and automobiles.

Your donations may be tax deductible to the extent provided by law based on the fair resale value of the item(s). It is the contributor's decision to determine this value. A letter may be sent as a receipt and acknowledgement of your charitable contribution.

CAU relies heavily on the generosity of people like you. Your contribution will be combined with others to help people with special needs achieve real lives in the community.

Funds are used to:

1. Build community awareness of the issues and challenges people with disabilities face;
2. Let people experience self-reliant living by providing accessible, affordable housing and independent living skills training;
3. Facilitate people getting jobs and contributing to the community in a meaningful, productive way;
4. Help youth and adults with disabilities find their voices through local and national workshops and presentations;
5. Reduce the social isolation that is so common to people with special needs through planned social activities; and
6. Give a forum for people to understand their civil rights and practice civic responsibility through structured self-advocacy opportunities.
