Transitional Services Program (TSP)

The Transitional Services Program (TSP) offers independent living skills to the Division of Child Protection & Permanency (DCP&P) adolescents, aged 15-21, who are currently living in any out-of-home placement setting within Union County including foster home, group home, children’s shelter, a residential treatment home or facility, or any other out-of-home placements financed by foster care maintenance payments.

Our training sessions, which include the NJ Approved Life Skills Cirriculum, meet every Tuesday evening and Saturdays twice a month in small groups. These services include, but are not limited to, education, employment, daily living skills, communication skills, drug and alcohol awareness, anger management, and transportation. Individual meetings are set up to work on specific issues. Transportation is available for anyone who would like to join the sessions.

By joining our program, those in TSP are given guidane to community resources that are suited to meet their needs.

DCP&P caseworkers with youth living in Union County may make referrals to the Transitional Services Program. The TSP Intake Staff will work with you to determine member elligibility and help to complete the appropriate referral form.
