CAU Employment Services link employers with qualified and experiences individuals who possess the skill sets required and needed in the workplace. Services provided by CAU are designed to facilitate a ‘win-win’ relationship between employers and employees.

Employment services at CAU are approved by the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and the NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CBVI). CAU is a Division of Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) approved vendor.   The Employment Services at CAU are also accredited by CARF International.

Any individual wishing to receive employment services must first contact their local DVRS office for an initial assessment for qualification to work in New Jersey.

Once DVRS has determined an individual’s course of support, CAU may be contacted for consultation or to secure services.


How We Help: Services Through DVRS

Contacting a local DVRS Office is just the first step to employment!

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS) provides a wide range of individualized services to assist people with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and/or maintain employment consistent with their strengths, priorities, needs, abilities, and capabilities.

Transportation assistance is available for eligible consumers who are receiving Vocational Rehabilitation services. If it is determined that the individual seeking employment should be served directly by DVRS, the following services will be available for them based on their individual need:

  • Vocational Assessments
  • Career Planning*
  • Prevocational Training*
  • Job Coaching and Training
  • Long-Term Follow Along Supports
