Supports Program

As the New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) reforms the way they will be allocating funds to support individuals with developmental disabilities, CAU has adapted our support services to serve more individuals who choose to live in their own home and receive in-home, self directed services. These support services give individuals and their families and caretakers the opportunity to lead a normal life surrounded by those they love and feel the most comfort with.

Members of the Supports Program receive services that meet a broad array of needs and can be accessed by any individual in the state of New Jersey. Dedicated staff work with each member to form an Individualized Support Plan (ISP) directed by the individual and their families, that gives those receiving services the unique power to choose exactly how, when, and by who they are receiving services.

These supports may be accessed by an array of individuals, those who have been assessed as eligible by DDD and have been given a budget to select and pay for services and individuals who are on the private pay option.
